The what

The what

Many students at Tecnológico de Monterrey have long depended on the transportation services offered by the campus. While the service is generally regarded as reliable, accessing it had remained a persistent challenge.

The why

The why

To begin enhancing students' understanding on how to access the service, we conducted surveys and focus groups to identify the challenges they faced when consulting and aquiring the service through the school's platform.

Students highlighted three main issues with the service:

Missed buses

Many students missed the bus due to cumbersome and time-consuming schedule-checking processes.

No tracking

There is no way to track buses in real time, adding a deeper layer to missing buses when changes in scheduling occurs.

Delays

Caused by long boearding lines, resulting from little information of schedules and the requirement of physical tickets.

The how

The how

Our goal was to tackle the primary issue of students missing buses due to various factors. To address this, we designed a completely new user journey that simplifies acquiring bus passes with just a few taps. This includes saving frequently used routes for quick access, receiving real-time updates on schedule changes, and enabling live bus tracking.
